When the sun rises in the west, and mountains crumble into dust, only then will Daenerys just get on a fucking boat already. The last we saw of our third main character she had come full circle by shitting herself in the desert. Some people on horses came as well.

Anonymous asked: What do you mean its not necessary to start from the beginning?
Of the Game of Thrones series? Well, if you’ve watched the first season of the show, it’s not necessary to read the first book. I would still recommend it though. You certainly can’t skip the second book either because the show begins to diverge at that point.
The moral of the story is, if you liked the show, you’ll love the books. If you have time start at the beginning.

laoshanfiredance asked: ages ago you advised me to read asoiaf when I asked you what it was. I'm some 300 pages into a game of thrones and I just wanted to say thank you :) I adore the characters (particularly jon snow and arya), and the book gives so much more depth to the story that the tv show (which I watched the first season of) was missing. THANK YOU for the reading suggestion! :)
That’s really great to hear! It’s nice to know you started from the beginning as well, while not necessary I think it just adds to the whole experience. I can also safely say the books only get better and better.
